Kent Police are investigating two separate cases where a 9-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl reportedly died from acute drug intoxication, including fentanyl and/or methamphetamine. The King County Medical Examiner's Office released the names and cause of death for both children on Aug. 3.This will mark the 13th homicide in Kent in 2023, according to numbers compiled by the Kent Reporter from the Kent Police Department and King County Medical Examiner's Office.
