That Express Train runs 20 Min headways in the Rockaways. Also, east of Broadway Junction, it gets slowed down A LOT because of the abundance of timer signals. The G will use only R211’s, while the R uses both R160A-2's and R211’s. The E and F will keep both R160A-2’s and R160B’s, although the F might use R211's during rush hours. The N/W will keep their R68's but during rush hours will run with R160B's (at least just the Alstom units) due to how much of a hassle it is for train crews to ...

Edit: its the large rail with the cover over it. This is technically in Toronto but nyc uses the same layout. 3rd rail is an alternative to diesel service or overhead electric service. You located 3rd rail on your left of the tracks. It looks like a long rail higher than the tracks.R46 was fine on A, but now it gets old on N/Q. The A has the oldest and the newest cars. When they linked them up and renumbered them in 1993 they mixed them up.
