I know the parts aren't guaranteed to last forever, so I decided to add on the Asurion protection plan. My thought process was that getting a 4 year warranty meant the computer was likely to work as long as a new one. I've done technical repairs in the past so I thought that the plan was worth it for the price in parts alone. The folks at Asurion could not fix the phone and suggested contacting Google's support once again to see if they could replace the phone. I got several problems with my 65" Samsung TV ($1689) and Asurion agreed to replace it. However, while this TV, bought in 2017 was top tier middle range, they'll replace it by an entry level $1000 65" Samsung, only has 2 HDMI, while my tv has 3 (they basically told me to suck it ).
